Mazda Motor Corporation has announced the following organizational and personnel changes, effective October 1, 2011.

1. Organizational Change

Changes in the area of profit control

Goals

• To ensure efficient and effective cost reduction activities by integrating product and component profit & cost target setting functions and cost development promotion functions.
• To increase efficiency and ensure quick decision making through a simplified organizational structure.

Details of the organizational changes

• The component profit control function of the Profit Control Div. and all functions of the Product Profit Management Dept. have been transferred to the Cost Planning Dept.
• In line with the above changes, the Product Profit Management Dept. has been eliminated.
